I’ve been caring for reptiles and amphibians since I was 11 years old, and by 16 I had started breeding leopard geckos and chameleons. That early passion grew into a lifelong commitment to animal care. I’m currently studying biology with an emphasis on animal studies and an A average, deepening my understanding of the animals I work with every day. My experience extends beyond reptiles—I spent 8 years keeping chickens at Baltimore Free Farm, where we became the first people to legally keep chickens in Baltimore City and even helped lawmakers work through the legal logistics. I also cared for ducks and rabbits during my time there. These days, my pride and joy is a 3-foot Savannah monitor lizard who is puppy-dog friendly. Alongside him, I care for a bearded dragon, leopard gecko, crested gecko, day gecko, White’s dumpy tree frogs, milk frogs, glass frogs, a Pacman frog, a ball python, a corn snake, and two red-eared slider turtles. Reptiles and amphibians aren’t just a hobby for me—they’re a way of life.
